Yuliya Pechonkina

Russian sprinter and hurdler who received precious metal medals in the 400 meter hurdles and 4×400 meter relay events in the 2005 World Championships in Athletics. She arranged a global record in the 400 meter hurdles with a period of 52.34 seconds. She was created in Krasnoyarsk and 1st found international achievement at the Globe Indoor Championships in 2001. She skipped both 2008 Beijing Olympics and this year’s 2009 Globe Championships because of an instance of sinusitis. She wedded sprinter Yevgeniy Pechonkin. She and Christine Ohuruogu are both Globe Indoor Champions in the women’s 4×400 meter relay.
