Younis Mahmoud

Iraqi soccer star who is a prolific goal-scorer for night clubs like Al-Khor, Al-Gharafa and Al-Wakrah. In 2007, he led the AFC Asian Glass as well as the Qatar Superstars Group in goals have scored and was called the AFC Asian Glass MVP. In 2000, he became the youngest participant ever to try out for the Iraqi nationwide team. He started playing for Al-Talaba in Iraqi Premiere Group in 2001. He received $100,000 through the Qatar Soccer Association as an incentive for being the very best goal-scorer in the Qatari Superstars Group for the 2006-07 period. He donated his earnings towards the building of the mosque in Kirkuk. He was created in Al-Dibs, Kirkuk. He performed alongside Iraqi midfielder Yaser Kasim on the 2015 AFC Asian Glass.
