Xawery Dunikowski

Polish sculptor who became most widely known for his Auschwitz-inspired works following surviving the horrors from the Auschwitz concentration camp. He analyzed sculpture at the institution of Good Arts under famed sculptor Konstanty Laszczka. Upon his loss of life, his headstone was made by previous pupil Barbara Zbrozyna. He and his family members relocated to Warsaw when he was twelve yrs . old. He was the main topic of a 1955 documentary by movie director Andrzej Wajda.
