William Allingham

Irish poet, editor, and author who’s many known for his Journal as well as for his poem “The Faeries.” Also an editor, he started doing work for Fraser’s Newspaper in 1874. He proved helpful for the traditions provider in both Ireland and Britain. His poetry was quoted in the film edition of Willy Wonka as well as the Chocolate Stock. He was wedded to Helen Paterson Allingham, an illustrator and water-color musician. The couple acquired three kids. His posthumously-published journal referenced the poet Alfred Lord Tennyson.
