Wilbur Shaw

American race drivers and previous president from the Indianapolis Electric motor Speedway. He was created in Shelbyville, Indiana and competed in his initial Indianapolis 500 in 1927. He gained the Indianapolis 500 competition 3 x (1937, 1939 and 1940), getting the next racer to earn the event 3 x and the first ever to earn in back-to-back periods. He was wedded to Cathleen Stearns. He created a camaraderie with World Battle I fighter ace Eddie Rickenbacker.
