Warwick Davis

Biography

He became known for using the title people in both 1988 film Willow and in the Leprechaun franchise. He also portrayed the Ewok Wicket in Superstar Wars Event VI: Return from the Jedi, performed Teacher Fillus Flitwick and Griphook within the Harry Potter movies, and performed Nikabrik within the Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. He viewed Superstar Wars incessantly we were young. He gained his Superstar Wars work after giving an answer to a radio advertisement calling for those who had been around four foot high. His dwarfism is because an extremely uncommon condition known as spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita, instead of the more prevalent achlasia. His dad was an insurance professional and he includes a youthful sister. He wedded his partner Samantha, that has achlasia. He provides three sons called Lloyd, Harrison, and George along with a little girl called Annabelle. The foreword of his autobiography was compiled by Star Wars originator George Lucas.

1He owned a line of Star Wars action figures as a kid. When he was cast as in "Return of the Jedi", Mark Hamill bought Warwick a set of action figures that wasn't in his collection.
2In 2014, Eric Potts directed Philip King's "See How They Run" for a UK touring production featuring short actors by Warwick Davis's Reduced Height Theatre Company, where Davis also portrayed The Reverend Lionel Toop. The fine cast of this acclaimed production also included Rachel Denning as Penelope Toop, Francesca Mills as Ida the Maid, Francesca Papagno as Miss Skillon, Phil Holden as Lance-Corporal Clive Winton, Raymond Griffiths as The Intruder, Jon Key as The Bishop of Lax, Jamie John as The Reverend Arthur Humphrey, and Peter Bonner as Sergeant Towers.

He was originally cast as a background Ewok, but his role was expanded during filming as he impressed the filmmakers, and when Kenny Baker fell ill, Warwick was chosen to take his place in the key role of the first Ewok met by Princess Leia.

1I love the slapstick element. I don't think we see enough of that in comedy, so it was fun to have that opportunity. My life is quite physical anyway. When you are three-foot-six you kind of have to climb stuff now and again, and you find yourself in quite precarious situations just to manage in what is quite a big world.
