All-rounder who all captained Australia in 10 lab tests in 1920 and 1921. He performed for the Caulfield Cricket Membership as a youngsters. In 2000, he was posthumously inducted in to the Australian Cricket Hall of Popularity. He wedded Aileen O’Donnell in 1913, and acquired one kid with her. In 1899 he became a member of Sheffield, and dismissed Syd Gregory in his initial match.
