Walt Whitman

American poet most widely known for his collections Leaves of Lawn and Drum-Taps. His 1865 poem “O Captain! My Captain!” was created on the event of the loss of life of Abraham Lincoln. He slipped out of college at age eleven and, to aid his family, proved helpful being a rules office associate and a paper apprentice. His humanist functions bridged the difference between your transcendentalist and realist actions. He never wedded and likely acquired a homosexual or bisexual orientation, although his biographers disagree on if he actually acquired relationships with guys. His vagabond way of living and beautiful free-verse poems motivated the life span and functions of Allen Ginsberg.
