Vladimir Salnikov

Russian swimmer who earned four Olympic precious metal medals in the 1980s and was the first ever to swim under a quarter-hour in the 1500-meter freestyle. He became a member of his first going swimming group when he was seven years of age. He previously his greatest Olympics in 1980 where he earned three yellow metal medals. His dad was a ocean captain. He got gold on the 1988 Olympics where diver Greg Louganis also earned gold.
