Verdine White

Bass guitarist known for his use Earth, Breeze & Fireplace. A Rock and roll & Move Hall of Popularity member, he gained numerous Grammy Honours for his full of energy performances. As a kid, he had taken bass lessons with an associate from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He set up the Verdine Light Foundation with the goal of offering music lessons to talented kids from poor households. His brothers, Maurice and Fred Light, had been both drummers. His wife, Shelly Clark, was an associate from the R&B music group Honey Cone. He documented two 1970s albums with fellow jazz musician Ramsey Lewis: Sunlight Goddess and Electric powered Collection.
