Won the Australian Open up and French Open up singles competition in 1998 and compiled several competition championships in doubles play alongside her younger sister Serena Williams. Her family members shifted out of Compton therefore the women could figure out how to play under Rick Macci. She was the 1st black woman to be Globe No. 1. Her parents are Richard Williams and Oracene Cost. She became among the 1st three female golf players to attain the finals of most four grand slams, along with her sister and Maria Sharapova.
