Vachel Lindsay

American poet whose works include “Abraham Lincoln Strolls at nighttime” and “The Eagle That’s Forgotten.” He’s regarded as the daddy of “performing poetry” — poetry created to become chanted. After briefly learning medication at Hiram University, he went to the Artwork Institute of Chicago. Both a poet and a musical functionality artist, he gained the nickname of “Prairie Troubadour.” He wedded and acquired two kids with Elizabeth Connor, who was simply two decades his junior. He was a modern of William Butler Yeats.
