In the first 1990s, following death of his brother Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, Uthradom Varma assumed the title of Maharaja of Travancore. He researched background, economics, and politics at Travancore College or university and received a particular prize for his Sanskrit scholarship or grant. He was a receiver of the Ruler George V Sterling silver Jubilee Medal; the Ruler George VI Coronation Medal; as well as the Indian Self-reliance Medal. He was the youngest youngster delivered to Travancore Royal Family members descendant Sethu Parvathi Bayi. His relationship to Shrimati Radhadevi Pandalai (formal name: Ammachi Panapillai Amma) created a daughter called Parvathidevi Kochamma and a boy called Ananthapadmanabhan Thampi. Delivered a century aside, he and Rani Lakshmibai had been both people of Indian royalty.
