Well-known for his association with Kannada literature’s Navya motion from the 1950s, Ananthamurthy penned several acclaimed mental novels, including Bharathi Pura; Samskara; and Bhava. After getting his master’s level from the University or college of Mysore and his PhD from your University or college of Birmingham, he started his teaching profession at the previous institution. His several literary honors add a 1994 Jnanpith Award; the 1998 Padma Bhushan; and a 2013 Guy Booker International Reward nomination. He and his wife, Esther, became parents to kids called Anuradha and Sharat. Dynamic in politics, Ananthamurthy released an unsuccessful 2004 marketing campaign for a chair in the Indian Lok Sabha and was later on vocal in his opposition to Indian Primary Minister Narendra Modi.
