Umberto Saba

Italian poet and writer known for Prelude and Trip and from the Crepuscolarismo movement. Deserted by his dad before his delivery, he grew up by a damp nurse, and later on by his mom, Felicita Rachele Coen. He battled with melancholy throughout his mature existence. He was wedded to Lina Wolfler, with whom he previously a girl. He was a modern of Italian-born French poet Guillaume Apollinaire.
