Tubby Hall

Jazz drummer who all used Carroll Dickerson’s Orchestra and who all also used Ruler Oliver, Jimmie Noone, and Johnny Dodds. He offered in america Army for just two years. He was significantly respected by peers and critics as well, including golf swing and big-band drummer Gene Krupa and jazz critic Hugues Panassi√©. His youthful brother was Small “Memory” Hall who also became a specialist drummer. He performed with Louis Armstrong both on stage and in Armstrong’s early 1930s films.
