American dancer and choreographer in the postmodern genre known for acclaimed works like Main Accumulation, Structured Items III, and Pygmalion.? She gained a D.F.A. from Bates University in 2000. She received several exclusive accolades, including a MacArthur Basis “genius” give in 1991.? She wedded Burt Barr.? She collaborated with experimental dancer Yvonne Rainer in the first 1960’s.
