Tord Overland Knudsen


Famous like a bassist, keyboard player, and backup singer for the English indie band The Wombats, he contributed to such UK hit albums as HELPFUL INFORMATION to Love, Reduction & Desperation; THE PRESENT DAY Glitch; and Glitterbug. He and his bandmates released The Wombats while their studies at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Their early radio strikes include “Shifting to NY” and “Let’s Dance to Pleasure Department.” He and his musical collaborators received a 2008 MTV Europe Music Award in the “Greatest UK and Ireland Fresh Act” category. He spent his child years in Elverum, Norway, and later on resolved in Liverpool, Britain. His The Wombats music group “family members” contains drummer Daniel Haggis and vocalist and guitarist Matthew Murphy. He and his fellow The Wombats users were presented on comedian Adam Hillsides’ music trivia system Spicks and Specks.
