Tony Gilroy

Nominated for an Academy Honor for perfect screenplay and perfect director for his 2007 film Michael Clayton, he first became referred to as the screenwriter of such motion pictures as Armageddon, Proof Life and the initial Bourne trilogy. Early in his profession, he published the screenplays for the movies The LEADING EDGE in 1992 and Delores Claiborne in 1995. He published the script for this year’s 2009 Russell Crowe film Condition of Play. His sibling, Dan Gilroy, also became a well known screenwriter; his dad, Frank D. Gilroy received a Tony Honor and Pulitzer Reward for Theatre for his play, ‘The Subject matter Was Roses,’ from 1965. His script for Armageddon, along with Michael Bay’s path, contributed towards the film getting the highest-grossing film of 1998.
