Tony Duquette

Acclaimed Hollywood designer who created many models and costumes during the period of his fifty-year career. A lot of his artwork was demolished within a 1989 fireplace. He graduated in the Chouinard Artwork Institute in LA and worked for a while as a developer at Bullock’s section store. He proved helpful as an inside decorator in the homes of Mary Pickford, Buck Rogers, J. Paul Getty, and Elizabeth Arden. He grew up in LA during the wintertime and Three Streams, Michigan, through the other periods. His wife Elizabeth Johnstone was an musician in her very own best and a regular contributor to Duquette’s function. He created pieces and outfits for the 1945 MGM film “Ziegfeld Follies,” which starred Fred Astaire and Lucille Ball.
