Tony DiTerlizzi

Children’s reserve illustrator, fantasy musician, and motion-picture manufacturer who won the Caldecott Honor Medal for adapting “The Spider as well as the Journey,” a poem by Mary Howitt from 1829. He co-created the broadly well-known Spiderwick Chronicles series and in addition created a 2008 film version from the books. He was inspired as a kid by Norman Rockwell and Dr. Seuss. He gained a qualification in graphical design from The Artwork Institute of Fort Lauderdale in 1992. He started working being a freelance illustrator for TSR’s Dungeons & Dragons role-playing video game after university. He includes a little girl named Sophia along with his wife Angela. He collaborated with Holly Dark in the Spiderwick Chronicles from 2003 to 2006.
