Tommy Ladnier

A trumpet participant often in comparison to Louis Armstrong because of his exceptional skill. He began playing in an area Independence music group when he was fourteen years of age. He became a member of the Noble Sissle Dance Music group in the 1930s and toured with them for two years. In 1920, he was wedded to Hazel B “Daisy” Mathews. He performed trumpet on many recordings for performers, including function by Ma Rainey.
