Served as a co-employee justice from the U.S. Supreme Courtroom from 1949 to 1967. He received a rules degree through the University of Tx School of Rules in 1922. He had written almost all opinion in the landmark case Abington College Region v. Schempp, which announced Bible readings in public areas institutions unconstitutional. He was the boy of Virginia Maxey and William Henry Clark. He was nominated towards the Supreme Courtroom by Leader Harry Truman.
