Offensive-minded second baseman who hit .289 during his 10-year MLB job spent mostly using the Minnesota Twins and Chicago Cubs. He gained an NCAA tournament with LSU. He flashed some swiftness early in his profession, stealing 19 bases in 1998 and swiping 18 in 1999. He was created in Bakersfield, California. Dominant right-hander Pedro Martinez was his teammate in the Boston Crimson Sox in 2003.
