Timothy Manning

Irish American prelate from the Roman Catholic Church who served because the Archbishop of LA from 1970 to 1985. He attained his doctorate in cannon law in the Pontifical Gregorian School in Rome, in 1938. He was a cardinal elector both in 1978 papal conclaves, which elected Pope John Paul I and Pope John Paul II. He still left his family members in his indigenous Ireland to check out a demand priests in america and transferred to California in 1928. He was raised towards the cardinalate in 1973 by Pope Paul VI.
