Thomas Warton

Eighteenth-century British poet and literary critic who’s most widely known for his poem “The Pleasures of Melancholy.” He was created in Hampshire, Britain, and he graduated from Trinity University, Oxford. He offered as British Poet Laureate from 1785-1790. He was the kid of Thomas Warton the Elder, who was simply also a poet. He and his modern, Christopher Wise, both belonged to several literary figures referred to as the Graveyard Poets.
