Thomas Chatterton

Eighteenth-century poet and literary forger who dedicated suicide by ingesting arsenic. His most well-known poem, “O synge untoe mie roundelaie,” was established to music being a madrigal. He penned “Elinoure and Juga,” the to begin his pseudo-medieval functions, when he was simply twelve years of age. When questioned, he stated that his poetic invention was the task of the fifteenth-century writer. He often composed beneath the pseudonym of Thomas Rowley. He was the kid of Thomas Chatterton, Sr., a books, music, and occult aficionado. He was a modern of fellow British writer Frances Burney.
