Theresa Rebeck

Prolific American playwright and screenwriter who wrote the popular play Maurititus. She acquired an M.A. in 1983, an M.F.A. in playwriting in 1986, and a Ph.D. in Victorian period melodrama in 1989, from Brandeis University or college. She cowrote the screenplay for the Nickelodeon children film Harriet the Spy. She’s two kids with her spouse Jess. Her 2011 play Workshop starred Alan Rickman.
