Past violinist and conductor who founded and served as the 1st director from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1891. He began playing the violin when he was six years of age, and was trained almost specifically by his dad, who was simply also a tuned musician. He carried out at many top-tier venues, like the Metropolitan Opera Home in 1887. He was wedded twice: 1st to Minna L. Rhodes and then to Rose Emily Fay. He and Mariss Jansons had been among the world’s best conductors.
