Politician and Democrat who have became the initial black girl elected to Congress from Alabama when she was particular to represent the state’s 7th region in 2011. She graduated from Princeton College or university, Harvard Law College and Oxford College or university before starting a profession as a open public finance lawyer. She was the initial dark valedictorian of her senior high school and was the initial black feminine partner in the Birmingham lawyer of Maynard, Cooper, & Gale, P.C. She actually is the girl of retired Trainer Andrew A. Sewell and previous Town Councilwoman and retired librarian Nancy Gardner Sewell. She done Capitol Hill for 7th Congressional Region congressman Richard Shelby through the summers while she was their studies at Princeton.
