Ted Heath

20th century Big Band leader who released a lot more than 100 albums and distributed a lot more than 20 million during his four-decade career. The Ted Heath Music group was typically the most popular post-war music group in Britain and lasted for 55 years, finally closing in 2000. He discovered to try out the trombone and tenor horn as a kid. His 1st professional gig was using the American music group Southern Syncopation Orchestra while these were touring European countries. He was on tour with Nat Ruler Cole when Cole was attacked at an end in Birmingham, Alabama, by white segregationists. His dad was the first choice from the Wandsworth City Brass Band. He wedded his second wife Moira Tracey in the 1930s and experienced four sons with her: Robert, Raymond, Nick, and Tim. His track “I wish to Be Content” was presented in the 1999 film “Entrapment,” which starred Catherine Zeta Jones .
