An American historian, he’s most widely known for America in the Ruler Years, a three-part biography of Martin Luther Ruler, Jr. The task earned the Pulitzer Reward for History as well as the Country wide Book Critics Group Honor for General non-fiction and was a finalist for the Country wide Book Honor for non-fiction. He gained an M.A. in public areas affairs from Princeton College or university in 1970. He later on taught background and politics at Goucher University. He received the Dayton Literary Peacefulness Reward in 2008. He wedded Christy Branch in 1978; the few raised two kids, Macy and Franklin.
