Most well-known for performing Detective Neal Washington in the 1980s NBC dilemma Hill Street Blues, this Emmy-nominated actor also had an effective theatrical profession, earning a 1985 NAACP Picture Award for his function in a creation of Amen Part. He produced his stage debut at NY City’s New Government Theater and continued to guest superstar in such circumstance comedies as The Bob Newhart Present and Sanford and Boy. He starred as Captain Phillip Laidlaw in the 1989 research fiction film DeepStar Six.
