Tammy Faye Bakker

Christian singer and televangelist who co-hosted the favorite PTL Membership show with her husband from 1976 until 1987. She was compelled to keep PTL after revelations that $287,000 have been paid from the business to get the silence of a female, who stated her hubby, Jim Bakker, got raped her. She was spoiled by her preferred aunt, a previous department store supervisor who provided her her initial job. Within a move that sharply recognized her from various other televangelists, she demonstrated a far more tolerant attitude relating to homosexuality, and she highlighted people experiencing Helps on PTL. She wedded Jim Bakker in 1961. Her previous hubby Jim Bakker visited jail over accounting scams.

1If I died right now, I would consider myself one of the most fortunate women in the world to have lived and been able to do the kind of things I've been able to do in my life . And I'm very grateful...very grateful to the lord for taking a little girl who had nothing to give, but was willing to try.
2Honey, God loves everybody. It's human beings who mess things up.
3Sometimes, poor people don't smell too good, so love can have no nose.
4I won't be in gay parades --- I don't think they need them. I believe in class --- I believe that people should have a bit of class about them.
5Jim [ex-husband Jim Bakker] always said he was the cake and I was the frosting.
