Susan Miller Dorsey

California senior high school instructor and administrator. In 1920, she became the 1st woman to become appointed Superintendent of LA City Colleges. After graduating from Vassar University in NY, she relocated to LA, California. A dormitory at California’s Scripps University and a higher school in LA were called in her honor. She grew up in NY condition by Hannah and Wayne Miller. She later on wedded Baptist minister Patrick William Dorsey. She and civil privileges activist Sal Castro both trained in LA schools.
