He fought within the heavyweight department in the 2000 Summer season Olympics as an amateur. He became just the 5th southpaw heavyweight champ in history. He’s of Avar Dagestani descent. He earned the WBO Heavyweight name by defeating Shannon Briggs on Feb 6, 2007.
