Writer, historian, and radio character who have won a Pulitzer Award for his 1985 nonfiction work, THE NICE War. He’s also appreciated for his dental histories of common Americans. He started his career being a tone of voice professional and radio information announcer. He eventually starred within a 1950s tv program known as Studs’ Place and continued to create his first reserve, Giants of Jazz, in 1956. He hosted The Studs Terkel Plan on Chicago radio from 1952 to 1997. He was wedded to Ida Goldberg for 87 years. Jointly, they had got a son called Dan Terkel. He interviewed many superstar guests on his Chicago-based radio display, including vocalist Bob Dylan .
