Stompin’ Tom Connors

Canadian folk singer-songwriter that has documented over 40 albums and released the tracks “Bud the Spud” and “The Hockey Tune.” He spent thirteen years hitchhiking across Canada; throughout that period, he made cash by working different part-time careers. He gained the nickname “Stompin’ Tom” by often stomping his still left foot to maintain tempo while playing. His mom was an inmate at a women’s penitentiary where Tom resided with her for a short while as a kid. He was paid tribute in the tune “Long in the Teeth” with the Les Claypool Frog Brigade.
