Sophie Calle

French conceptual and installation artist and photographer whose works explored individual interactions. Most well-known for such tasks as “Collection Venitienne” from 1979 and “The Darkness” from 1981. She traveled for seven years after her graduation from university. Upon her go back to Paris, she created her surveillance-like setting of creative observation. Her function was influenced with the French literary motion Oulipo, which explored the thought of restraint. She was created and elevated in Paris, France. She motivated a personality in the Paul Auster book “Leviathan” from 1992.
