Sidney Godley

English soldier who was simply given the exclusive Victoria Cross for his bravery in the Fight of Mons during World War We. He became the 1st private soldier to get the award through the battle. He was raised along with his aunt in London and worked well at an ironmonger’s shop as an adolescent. His medals had been offered for £276,000 at an actions in July 2012. He wedded Ellen Eliza Norman in August 1919. He and Sergeant Leo Clarke both received the Victoria Mix for their activities during World Battle I.
