Biography

Producer of We Spy, The Dick Truck Dyke Show, as well as the Andy Griffith Present. He shaped it experiences of several generations. He began working on Wall structure Street, but dropped his work in the Crash of ’29. He performed gangsters or criminals in such movies as It’s an excellent Lifestyle from 1947, To Possess and Have Not really from 1944, and Men and Dolls from 1955. He was wedded to Frances Bober on June 28, 1931, plus they got two children jointly. He previously a recurring function on comedian Jack port Benny’s well-known series The Jack port Benny Show.

1He once did a guest appearance in his own show I Spy in the episode "Three Hours on a Sunday Night" where he played "Mr. Sorge" The main villein of this episode, as well as cameo's in a few other episodes of the show (like Alfred Hitchcock used to do).
2The characters Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter of the CBS sitcom _The Big Bang Theory (2010)_ are named in honor of him.
3Received the rank of Eagle Scout (the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America).
4In 1992 he was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame, after receiving five Emmy awards for his producing/directing efforts. In 1995 he received a lifetime membership into the Director's Guild of America. Accepting the honor, he quipped, "Giving a lifetime membership to a guy 88 years old--big f***ing deal!".
5In 1965 he cast Bill Cosby in the TV series I Spy (1965), making him one of TV's first black leading men.
6Married to Frances Babor for over 65 years. They had a son and daughter. Frances passed away two years later (1999) at age 91 and was buried beside Sheldon.
