A twentieth-century American novelist, she actually is most widely known for such functions as Armadillo in the Lawn and Owning Jolene. The last mentioned work gained an American Academy of Arts and Words Books Award. She examined at the School of Tx at Austin. She started composing her debut book, Armadillo in the Lawn, in 1962. She was honored an Ingram Merrill Base fiction fellowship. She was created and elevated in Kentucky. She and Kim Addonizio had been both Guggenheim Fellowship recipients.
