A Bangladeshi writer and journalist, he was assassinated and also other intellectuals through the Bangladesh Liberation Battle. His best-known literary functions consist of Sareng Bau (The Captain’s Wife) and Sangshaptak (The Indomitable Troops). He gained a qualification in economics from Presidency University, Kolkata. He became a member of the East Pakistani Communist Party in the past due 1940s. An integral number in the Bangladesh Vocabulary Movement, he earned the renowned Bangla Academy Honor in 1962. He and his wife, Panna Kaiser, got a daughter called Shomi. He was the sibling of novelist and filmmaker Zahir Raihan.
