African-American spoken-word poet and playwright whose best-known functions include Blessing the Watercraft as well as the 51st (dream) state. The previous work handles heroin cravings; the latter responds towards the Sept 11, 2001 terrorist episodes. He graduated from both City University of NY and the town University of NY. His spoken-word documenting, The Blue Oneness of Dreams, was nominated for the Grammy Award. He was raised in Harlem, and his delivery name was Robert Franklin Feaster. He toured with vocalist Ani Difranco in 2001.
