Jazz bassist who all performed with Grammy Award-nominated pianist Costs Evans within the Costs Evans Trio. He performed piano in primary college, the clarinet in junior high, tenor saxophone in senior high school, and the dual bass before he inserted Ithaca College’s music plan. He performed gigs with jazz luminaries including Benny Goodman, Chet Baker, and Stan Kenton. He was raised in Newark, NJ. He and Charles Mingus had been considered a few of the most officially efficient jazz bassists of their own time.
