Scott Fischer

Former hill climber known to be the 1st American to climb K2 without extra air aswell as the 1st American to climb Lohtse. He passed away in 1996 while descending Support Everest. He began climbing using the Country wide Outdoor Leadership College while in senior high school. He helped discovered the company Hill Madness. His tale was presented in the 1997 Television movie Into NOTHING: Loss of life on Everest as well as the 2015 feature film Everest. He was survived by his wife Jeannie, who he wedded in 1981, and kids Andy and Katie. He and Rienhold Messner both climbed Support Kilimanjaro’s Breach Icicle.
