Open-wheel racer who competed in 14 Indianapolis 500 races, and was a two-time pole placement winner. He started racing at a age group, as his dad was a competition car engine builder. After gaining the pole for the 1996 Indy 500, he passed away within a practice work crash. He was wedded to Becky Brayton until his loss of life. After his loss of life, teammate Tony Stewart had taken over pole placement for the competition.
