Sarah Martin

Best known being a violinist and vocalist for the Scotland-based Indie pop group called Belle & Sebastian, she also played other instruments, like the flute and recorder, in various Belle & Sebastian monitors. She joined up with Belle & Sebastian before the 1996 discharge from the band’s second record, If You’re Sense Sinister. She composed such Belle & Sebastian music as “Storytelling,” “Nothing at all in the Silence,” and “Looking forward to the Moon to go up.” She was raised in the traditional western coast of Britain, in the city of Blackburn, Lancashire. She and guitarist Stevie Jackson had been Belle & Sebastian bandmates.
