Sarah Lincoln Grigsby

Best remembered while the sister of USA Civil War-era Chief executive Abraham Lincoln, she helped increase her famous younger sibling after their mom died in 1818. She was raised in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and Spencer Region, Indiana, as the 1st kid and only girl of Nancy and Thomas Lincoln. In 1819, her dad wedded his second wife, Sarah Bush Lincoln, who became her stepmother. She wedded Aaron Grigsby in 1826. Unfortunately, she passed away while in labor using their stillborn kid. Her sibling Abraham Lincoln, probably one of the most essential presidents in USA history, released the popular Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 and eventually abolished slavery by pressing for the passing of the Thirteenth Amendment.
