She was a receptionist at a Memphis studio room and worked being a program singer. Being a program singer, she supported performers like Elvis Presley, Joe Tex, and Tommy Roe. She wedded an Elvis Presley impersonator called Wade Cummins in 1968. Her tune Born A FEMALE has been commonly used by best wing radio web host Hurry Limbaugh during his Feminist Revise segments.
